I feel like I am marking off years like the Dugger's are counting their children.

April 22, marked the 18th year of the birth of Cafe Hon. Hard to believe I have done the same thing this long. You may not know this about me, but until I was out of college I had held about 32 different jobs, including the 1980 census. I actually went to houses and counted people. I did not deliver phone books, although, I did consider it at one time.

Just the Facts, HON!

There are several stories about the Buffalo Wing, however, three facts remain the same:
1. Chicken wings with Hot Sauce
2. Celery and Blue Cheese
3. The Anchor Bar and the Bellissimo family

July 29th became the Official "Chicken Wing Day"
and the Anchor Bar reports that they serve more than 70,000
pounds a month. WHOA. That's a lota of chicken bones, HON.

Well HON, if you want the bestest, mostest reasonable oysters on the planet, Celebrity Shucker, George Hastings, will be at the HON BAR Tonight!!!!!

Sort like the colon cleansing you think about doing each year because you think:
a: you will get rid of that excess goo living in your colon and
b: somehow the starvation and excess toilet paper usage will bring about positive change.

I think in some strange way the analogy, (as I write this I am laughing because the first 4 letters of analogy spell ANAL)

ANALogy...there are no accidents in this world...oh, there I go again...go...I guess I could just say Sh-- happens. Is that really what it is all about? Perhaps it is...

HON BAR UPDATE

OK, now, the Hon Bar is about 95% complete. I know everyone freaked out when the lime green wall paper went in...so I wish I could have closed the thing down and shocked everyone all at once.
But no, I could not, sorry you had to suffer through the steps one at a time.

However, the sustainable bamboo flooring that just went down is beautiful. Alex, the bartender, picked it out, Dan just said if Alex likes it, I will like it.

...And they are off. Flying down the avenue hon and right into the Cafe Hon for
a delicious brunch before the preakness.
