This is real important, you know Kevin Bacon and all that stuff. I was painting the Ladies room the other night and moved that big old green scale and imagine my surprise when I found some teeth!

I am serious it is an upper partial plate, now, I understand these things cost a bundle. So if you know of anyone who has been on a mashed potato diet, please let me know immediately. The partial plate is in the fizzing Efferdent cup behind the bar.

The 34th Street lights go on Saturday, November 29th

I am so excited that we started the renovations. You will see some plastic walls as
we are creating a dust barrier (lol). Anyone who has ever sawed or sanded knows that
no matter how hard you try the dust will find ways to escape the plastic curtain.
The good news is we are making the noise after 10pm.

The new flooring should be down in two weeks. Then we can install the booths!

Thank you very much for your responses on GREEN flooring. I needed the input to
help me make a decision on the new floor. I located a place called iFloor and they
had all types of flooring. I used a very scientific method to make my decision: I
stabbed my car key into every kind of flooring sample and bought the one that didn't
scratch. The bamboo floor did not win.

My mind has been a whirl with new recipes and ideas for a new menu we are creating at the Cafe Hon.

Since I have a great kid's menu and we were just voted one of the top 101 Things to do in Baltimore with your grand kids on Grandparents.com, I thought we would celebrate by doing Kid's under 10 eat FREE every Monday Night.

My other thoughts are: Tuesday Night Shrimp Night and Wednesday Lobster Night

I have even been thinking about doing a few cooking lessons. Or a Chef's Dinner prepared by yours truly. I love to cook, don't like to line cook but I love to create.

TEN THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT CAFE HON

I am so happy to have the opportunity to blog. I plan on adding in al little of this and a little of that. Everything from places I like, stuff I like and what's new at the Cafe Hon.

I am looking forward to the ability to communicate. Right now Kate my trusty web person is sitting here with me to make sure I do this right so...signing off for now.
